Conexiones Improbables in collaboration with Fundacion German Sanchez Ruiperez
In 2012 Leili and Madeleine (working as collaboration In Common) undertook a large-scale community research project with Conexiones Improbables in central Spain, in collaboration with the Fundacion German Sanchez Ruiperez (a charity which is dedicated to the promotion of reading and literature).
The year long project resulted in a series of public artworks and events that engaged the staff and townspeople in rethinking their relationships with culture and new technologies. We produced a play with an amateur theatre group based on the famous spanish text The Fog, (La Niebla), we made cloud walks through the city and a short film that allowed people to walk through the library guided by the experience of being online and in the physical spaces of the library. Over four months we hosted workshops, walks, and digital reading sessions to learn more about how these work places might change from the rapid movement online of library services.
